Ha ha, Frankie ! I dragged out the old 4770K/1080Ti machine and fired it up. I installed win11 on it. I had to use Rufus to get it on there due to the lack of win11 4770K support and no TPM module. But it's running great. I'm gonna give it to Curly for Xmas. ;) What's on your Xmas list? Or Diwali, K...

I like to make same mistake a number of times, just to be on the safe side. LOL, good one. Curly will be jealous. Thank you for the suggestions! Rocky has released the new version. BTW, I almost killed the linux machine trying to clone it. :wow: But then I was able to revive it with the grub ...

How to parse an M2TS file?

I added a feature to show leading non-pusi packets preceding the first pusi packet. This can be useful for identifying authoring problems.

We have a problem, Houston. Check this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/onevpl/upgrade-from-msdk/2023-1/intel-r-media-sdk-api-features-removed-from-onevpl.html VPL does not support the SW (CPU) implementation. They suggest to use other software, such as FFMPEG. That would be OK for...

By checking for TrueHD bytes, the AC3 stream is left out when the PTSs are parsed.
Not quite. They are both reported separately, just as for EAC3/AC3.

How to parse an M2TS file?

Thank you Mister hubblec4 . You are very kind. You can come out and play with Alice and me any time! For EAC3/AC3 both pusi's have the 0xb77 syncword and then you check the extra bit to distinguish them. For TrueHD it's more accurate to say that THD and AC3 are merged (hence the utility thdmerge!) r...

Ask if you don't grok how this derives from the PES and audio specs, or if you need copies of the specs.

Please get main5.cpp. Everything is working according to my testing. Note that MAX_ACCESS_UNITS was increased to 10000000 to allow for the large number of TrueHD minor frames. Also, sorting was removed.

Lemme know if it is not OK or if there is anything else I can help you with.

Regarding LPCM, I have not studied the relevant specs. For now let's stick with your empirical finding. We can come back to it if needed.

I'll get busy on number 2.
