Re: Parsing some DVD

Who gives a crap about DVDs anymore? People want to 'back up' their DVDs to HEVC or something to save space? Just save the ISOs and call it a day. Am I wrong?

use a separate adaptive deinterlacer that tries to deinterlace only interlaced areas
Why don't we have a nice fast HBD CUDA deinterlacer like that? I'm sure Sherman could whip it up in a jiffy. Not!

Re: DGNV HDR preview doesn't match DGHDR2SDR results

I peeked at the code, nyuk nyuk! So in DGIndexNV the HLG P16 to RGB P8 uses limited range. OK, that matches 'RecXXX'. But the conversion routine lacks the 601/709 parameter that gets used for normal 8-bit stuff. And it appears to be coded for 601. To verify that this is the case use Conver...

Re: 2:3 pulldown – or not?

P.S: How is possible that every other VOB of different DVD I own are set as: Scan type : Interlaced Scan order : Top Field First (or Bottom on some) I can't believe that. Is it enough to use deinterlace=1,use_top_field=true,use_pf=true and let DGSource manage it or should I get visual check for eve...

Your sample is pure soft 3:2 pulldown. Just set fieldop=1 in your DGSource() call. Did I miss something?
