Re: Decoding 420P10 bit file -> only 8 bit in AVS ?

Works fine for me. I just open the script in vdub 2 [DGSource() only] and then do File/Information. It shows P016 color space, which is padded 16-bit as intended.

Re: Decoding 420P10 bit file -> only 8 bit in AVS ?

Thank you, investigating...

For 10-bit or 16-bit DGSource() returns 16-bit. 10-bit streams are padded with 0s to 16-bit.

Re: Decoding 420P10 bit file -> only 8 bit in AVS ?

Should work fine. Can you please give us a sample?

What are you using to determine the bit-depth of the output?

Re: GPU Decoder: Failed to create video decoder [801]: Exiting

You need to upgrade to slipstream 189. 182 is not compatible with the 436.xx drivers.

Re: Seamless branching issues?

Slipstream 189 now supports sync correction for EAC3 streams. Regarding the THD stream, I looked a bit at it and possibly what is happening is that the THD frames are smaller such that the file gap desyncs are too small to accumulate to the point of needing correction. I am looking into correcting t...

Re: Binaries Update Notification Thread

DGDecNV slipstream 189: * Improved the DGIndexNV HDR to SDR dialog. After the dialog is moved, the position is stored and is restored after the dialog is closed and opened again. Also, clicking the HLG checkbox now no longer causes the dialog to jump back and cover the video. [Bullwinkle, VictorLS] ...

Re: 3D BluRay

Thanks again, Sharc . Xunkar , beware, DGMVCSource supports only linear access from the start of the stream. Do not do anything in your script that leads to nonlinear access. It's on the dream list to support random access for MVC but with the decline of 3D it's unlikely to get high on the priority ...

Re: Seamless branching issues?

That's great, Bullwinkle, but only if all the audio streams need the same adjustment. Is that always true? And is it so easy to insert repeat flags?

Re: Seamless branching issues?

Just in case you are curious the current dinner plate includes the following delicacies: 1. Complete audio demuxing fixes stemming from renols 's report (THD embedded AC3). 2. Fix an issue with DGIndexNV's handling of start codes split between transport packets (rare but we like to be fully correct ...

Re: Seamless branching issues?

@ gonca Gotcha. Quite right. The drive is an ASUS BC-12D2HT. Not sure what firmware it has, nor how to query that. It was pre-flashed by the vendor ClonerAlliance and advertised as "UHD friendly". That appears to be true. Nevertheless, MakeMKV says that the drive firmware is "not updated for LibreDr...

Try to re multiplex the mpls directly with MKVToolNix and see if the problem is still there
Even if it is OK we would want to fix DGIndexNV demuxing.

Re: Seamless branching issues?

Thank you guys for your posts and information. Very helpful! I'll tell you how things currently work or don't work, and then we'll decide where to go. I'm not very interested in what other tools are doing. When we demux multiple M2TS files we can run into desync because the granularity of the audio ...

Re: Seamless branching issues?

What is this LibreDrive stuff? Found links saying we need LibreDrive support to rip UHD disks. But MakeMKV reports LibreDrive is not supported for my drive but goes ahead and rips the disk.

Re: Seamless branching issues?

Drive seems to be working. Please tell me in detail how to rip it and then reproduce your issue. I'm guessing AnyDVD. If so I'll have to get that as well. I've been meaning to get AnyDVD in any case but the bitcoin nonsense was an obstacle. They have a 21 day trial so that may be enough.

Re: [RESOLVED] Coded frame dimensions are too large

So that means it can play back but cannot copy back full screen data back to ram? Or it simply cannot decode such high resolution @ high bitrate? Bitrate is not important as it fails at init. Need a research project to find out why 2GB is not enough here, but it's not likely to get high on the prio...

Re: [RESOLVED] Coded frame dimensions are too large

Possibly with CUDA buffers and other stuff set up by DGDecNV, 2GB is not enough.
