HEVC is done. Now need to do MPG2 and VC1.

Just so you know, there is no NVDec in DGIndexNV (linux) so I am adding the needed parsing code.

The 10-word sentence rule?
It's just a guideline, useful for communicating with low-IQ types. I'm trying to decide between Balzac and Judy Garland to bring back. Maybe Shirley Temple?

Looks good to me. You're testing a size without a cropping rectangle. Thank you for your testing.

Next I am going to do the log file creation for you.

I'm thinking of doing at least one bakelite AA5 and after that an early transistor radio. Just to cover the end of the wood tube radio era. Then a TV. Watch out! It's heresy, but what I like to do is scrape off the lacquer and do a restain followed by two coats of hand-rubbed poly gel topcoat. If so...

Didn't tell you guys, I am restoring a Crosley 817. https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/crosley_817.html Electrical updating is done plus adding the optional aux input as shown in dotted lines on the schematic. There is a new phono jack and DPDT switch that selects radio/aux and at the same time grounds t...

Got progress reporting done and tested. I did the carriage return method. Will make a release later today.

Guys, just so you know. Rocky is very busy caching acorns for the winter. I don't think he needs to do it, as DG takes good care of us. Could be an instinct thing.

Next I'm going to add progress reporting. Guys, do you want it with a new line for each percentage like DGDemux, or should I do the trick where we just do a carriage return and overwrite the previous percentage? I personally prefer the latter. Could also do it eac3to-style as well I suppose. Your th...

I have coded it for all video formats and just need to test it with the appropriate test streams. Note that I have adopted part of Curly 's suggestion. :o For linux I have deleted the SIZ/DISP distinction. The DISP line is removed from the DGI file and SIZ now shows the proper adjusted size. Before ...

Thank you Frankaboy . I appreciate your confidence in me. if vi.height == 1088 vi.height = 1080 We can appreciate your desire to reduce complexity but it's simply not enough. Looking through our streams database I find many cases where that would fail. For example, there is an AVC stream that has a ...

Hello Frankaboy , always great to hear from you. And happy to explain things for you. Pictures are encoded using "macroblocks". These typically are units of 16 pixels square. So imagine we have a video with size 1920x1080. Well, 1920 is divisible by 16 so it would be an integral number of macroblock...

Mr DJATOM . Correct! My research shows there are ways for display != coded: 1. Anamorphic video. The aspect ratio information is applied. This is currently done only for MPG2, e.g., DVD 4:3 -> 16:9 'widescreen'. Who cares? 2. The video ES specifies a cropping rectangle. This is applied but only for ...

@ Frankaboy Just curious. You asked for the coded/display size distinction to be restored. May I ask what the use case is that motivates you for this? Is it just the case of 1080-height streams coded as 1088? Or are there other cases? Please tell me all the cases that you have run into and that are ...
