EAC3TO Bug Reports and Feature Requests Only

Hi Rocky and all others Yes indeed I can provide a little info (knowledge and experience). The "Last Chapter" is a technical way which comes from DVD. The last chapter is used to make some internal action automatically, jump back to main menu or something else. Like Rocky says it is used on Blu-ray ...

EAC3TO_Mod General Discussion

Hi Curly and the DG team

Many thanks for new development and new binarys.

I have a suggestion:
To read one thread with all the bugs and feature requests is a bit cumbersome.

Could we have for each issue and feature request it's own thread like the other DG-tools?

EAC3TO_Mod Project

Hi all

What great news,
thanks to madshi and also to the DG-Team to keep eac3to alive.

I think DGDemux will not be killed, we all need this tool and for Linux is eac3to not ready (atm).

PCM (.w64) Question?

Maybe I misunderstood something.
I thought that PCM extract was not yet possible, or only in this “w64” format.
But DGDemux already has support for PCM and MTX can process the extracted track.

Sorry for the disruption.

PCM (.w64) Question?

Hi Rocky and DelBoy83

Long time ago was PCM not supported by MKVToolNix (and cE had ignored such streams), but I have realized that it now works and I had also a disc here with PCM sound.

I say too, it would be fantastic when DGDemux has a native PCM demux support.

Extract also Forced subs (not "only forced subs")

Yes, the same thing we both have discussed in this thread and the conclusion was to output both files ever. And you had added extra the counting of the subs so that my cE knows quickly if there are extra forced subs. The same process I had to do with BDSUP2Sub: extract the forced subs and check if t...

Extract also Forced subs (not "only forced subs")

This is a normal behavior. DGDemux can not know the count of the total and forced subs until all is demuxed. Quickly to know if a forced sub stream contains the same amount like the full sub stream, you could check the DGDemux output which reports the count of subs for both sub streams. Is the count...

Hi Sherman

Do you think the 1.0.72_Test version is ready?
Please let me know, than I provide a new cE version. DGDemux is now also the standard editing tool in Linux.

And thank you Rocky for the new slipstream version.

Copy that dovi_tool line and paste it into a terminal opened on the dgdemux directory. What happens when you try to run that?
Yes that works. The merged_dovi file is now there.

Works fine here, showing the same command line syntax as you showed. I use an older LinuxMint 19 version. On which Linux you compile DGDemux? Or is the dovi_tool not compatible? Any unicode or special characters in your commands or file/dir names? No, nothing in that direction. Mmh, weird. :?

DGDemux (linux)

Hi Sherman Now I was able to make a first test, after I found the issue in cE for Linux, while parsing the output. A Line-break seems to be different to Windows. However, demuxing both .hevc streams works, but the dovi_merge not. DGDemux 1.0.0.72 (linux) by Donald A. Graft Copyright (C) 2019-2023 Do...

Episode Demuxing is missing chapters for some episodes

He said 6 episodes in one playlist, not 6 files :-) OK, but the feature assumes one M2TS per episode, so it creates files for each M2TS. He also says: "episode demuxing separates this nicely into 6 individual files" Yes you are fully correct, and it was my fail. I had not realized the 7th m2ts file...

You said that disk has 6 files but I see 7. Just a typo?....

EDIT:
But you are right there are 7 m2ts files.

DGDemux (linux)

Hi Sherman

Thank you for your concern.

I have downloaded the new test build, and cE starts the demux, but I get another error that the streams could not be processed.
I guess there is something different in the output as in Windows. I will look at this today.

DGDemux (linux)

Hi Sherman and Rocky First, many thanks for the test release. I didn't expect it to be so quick, and it's wonderful that there is now a current Linux version of DGDemux. I had tested a bit the new Linux version, but I get an error: ERROR: unknown command line option -nopre! I have hard coded this sw...

Hi Rocky

I saw you have provided a new DGDemux version with DTS express support.

I have now also provided a new version of cE.

Use the link (chain) icon to ensure your URLs show up. I fixed it for you. Thank you for the link. Thank you, and yes of course I should use the chain-icon. I had wondered a bit where is my link. Here is a release candidate for build 72, adding DTS Express support to DGDemux/DGDemuxGUI. Works fine.

Not all audio streams are visible

OK, never mind. I was able to test it in DGIndexNV by loading the M2TS twice, which gives me a gap to correct. ;) Clever! Looks like you have created a random m2ts list :-) Then everything proceeds as currently designed for gaps correction. The challenge was to determine the frame duration for DTS ...

hubblec4 , do you know of any disks with DTS Express that have multiple M2TSs in the playlist? The one I have has only a single M2TS. I need multiple M2TSs to test gap correction. Thank you. Yes, Terminator 2 has multiple m2ts files. And I know the T2chunk which I have uploaded is for a full test n...

Yes, Plex is a very cool video playback tool, but the missing support of Ordered Chapters in this times is very shame. Maybe if MKV is more popular, then Plex will add ordered chapter support.

Seamlessly branching multi-disc movies with Atmos

Hi horseshowers I have also experience with such movies and in the beginning of using MKV, I had also cut streams and append them and so on. But I use now an easier method, called Ordered Chapters. VLC can handle Ordered Chapters but not perfect. MPC-HC/BE or mpv are better. Only with Ordered Chapte...

Hi Rocky

It works, and I like the naming for this streams.
DGDemux is now definitive better than eac3to for demuxing. Many many thanks.

I will make a post in this thread and link to what you have said.
