Re: DGDemux development
eschewed Does that mean hard to swallow? @ Rocky Got PGS demuxing working in fast mode. The fast and slow demuxed SUP files are binary identical. Now have to do THD and embedded AC3. Then a little cleanup and we can give it out. There is enough supported to fully demux La Notte (Criterion). Here ar...

I don't see any problem. Would you be able to explain why you think there is a problem?Bullwinkle wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 7:55 pmSherman, did you solve the quantum measurement problem yet?

Re: DGDemux development
Sorry I took so long for the LPCM fix. It's all better. Bullwinkle had me laying floors for a week! Typical disk demuxing the LPCM track: slow mode 3:45 fast mode 0:35 Anyway, I just have to add the following and then you can let it out to the wild: * THD and embedded AC3 * PGS * preallocation * gar...

Forum poll about Sherman
OK, guys. Machiavelli gave me great advice when Mr Peabody and I went back to the year 1513, right after The Prince came out. Many think Machiavelli endorsed immoral behavior. In my experience he is misunderstood. He said you have to do something off-the-charts great to get the adulation and respect...

Re: DGDemux development
Great idea, Britney . I implemented that and hopefully Rocky will include it in the next slipstream. I'll keep adding to it until all the stream types are supported in fast mode. Then when we switch everything over we will have fast mode by default. BTW, I demuxed the AC3 stream from 1917: old mode:...

Re: DGDemux development
Oh, such a whirlwind. First Boltzmann told me it's all about distributions and then Newton told me it's all about initial conditions. Who to believe? Anyway, I re-based my speedup code on slipstream 43, which seems pretty stable. I still reduce demux time for the video from 3:26 to 0:58 for a repres...

Wow, Levi, thanks!
Britney Jean's early work is unreal too:

I'm going to ask Mr. Peabody if we can go back and watch the Mickey Mouse Club live!

Re: DGDemux development
Thought I'd give an update on the speedup project. I have all the video (main, secondary, and MVC), AC3 audio, and LPCM audio converted and working. Should be able to knock out the rest of the formats and PGS subtitles pretty quick. Then some odds and ends like garbage stripping, preallocation, DELA...

Re: Issue with Jerry Maguire THD stream
Hello Mr renols. We haven't met but I have heard wonderful things about you. Great that you found no issues. Theoretically, the new way is faster in all use cases. However, that is moot as we move to the new 350% faster architecture.

Re: Issue with Jerry Maguire THD stream
I figured all that buffering and parsing was going to be a PITA, so I was happy when you offered to fix this. ;) That you found a better way is frosting on the cake. Thanks, Rocky . My way also has the advantage that when gaps processing is not required (it's disabled or there is only one M2TS) the...

Re: Issue with Jerry Maguire THD stream
Hey Rocky . I have fixed up the THD demuxing. But rather than do the THD buffering and ES parsing on-the-fly with demuxing, I instead do a pass at the end on the demuxed THD file to fix up the THD gaps. The little GUI box shows "Fix THD gaps" during this time. I tried to do things on-the-fly but eve...

So sorry. I'll fix progress and preallocation. I really want those spurs! Daddy and I are heading for the Wayback Machine right now but I'll take care of it when we return. Balzac wants to abandon his great series The Human Comedy . We're going back to convince him to continue it. https://en.wikiped...

Hey Rocky! I got it all done and successfully demuxed TOY_STORY_4_3D and tested the resulting streams with DGMVCDecode(). Maybe you should give a test build before slipstreaming it.

Re: DGDemux development
Hey Rocky ! After I got back from 1935 last night (talking to Einstein of course and also Podolsky to ask why he misrepresented Einstein's argument in the famous EPR paper -- his answer is shocking!) I whipped up a function called DemuxMVC(filename, pid) to demux from a dependent M2TS file. It does ...

Re: DGDemux development
I looked at the BDInfo source code. Their test for Dolby Vision is simply AVC or HEVC and PID >= 0x1015. That is totally divorced from: https://www.dolby.com/us/en/technologies/dolby-vision/dolby-vision-bitstreams-in-mpeg-2-transport-stream-multiplex-v1.2.pdf I could not detect the stuff documented ...

Rocky, thank you for trusting me. I have it implemented but just need to mark DolbyVision streams with a * or something. Gotta find out how to identify a video track as DolbyVision.
