Re: Seamless branching issues?
Just in case you are curious the current dinner plate includes the following delicacies: 1. Complete audio demuxing fixes stemming from renols 's report (THD embedded AC3). 2. Fix an issue with DGIndexNV's handling of start codes split between transport packets (rare but we like to be fully correct ...

Re: Seamless branching issues?
@ gonca Gotcha. Quite right. The drive is an ASUS BC-12D2HT. Not sure what firmware it has, nor how to query that. It was pre-flashed by the vendor ClonerAlliance and advertised as "UHD friendly". That appears to be true. Nevertheless, MakeMKV says that the drive firmware is "not updated for LibreDr...

Re: Seamless branching issues?
Thank you guys for your posts and information. Very helpful! I'll tell you how things currently work or don't work, and then we'll decide where to go. I'm not very interested in what other tools are doing. When we demux multiple M2TS files we can run into desync because the granularity of the audio ...

Re: Seamless branching issues?
What is this LibreDrive stuff? Found links saying we need LibreDrive support to rip UHD disks. But MakeMKV reports LibreDrive is not supported for my drive but goes ahead and rips the disk.

Re: Seamless branching issues?
Drive seems to be working. Please tell me in detail how to rip it and then reproduce your issue. I'm guessing AnyDVD. If so I'll have to get that as well. I've been meaning to get AnyDVD in any case but the bitcoin nonsense was an obstacle. They have a 21 day trial so that may be enough.

Re: [RESOLVED] Coded frame dimensions are too large
So that means it can play back but cannot copy back full screen data back to ram? Or it simply cannot decode such high resolution @ high bitrate? Bitrate is not important as it fails at init. Need a research project to find out why 2GB is not enough here, but it's not likely to get high on the prio...

If not, I will take up your offer to provide the stream. I need to have UHD capability in house.

Possibly with CUDA buffers and other stuff set up by DGDecNV, 2GB is not enough.

Re: [RESOLVED] Coded frame dimensions are too large
Thanks for test results, gonca, but you should mention your card type. Tested successfully here on 2080 Ti, 1080 Ti, and 1050 Ti. All >= 4GB video memory. MeteorRain, can you give the vendor card details? Name and model, etc. And how much memory is on it? Finally, what nVidia driver is installed? I ...

Re: HDR -> SDR conversion
Everything released in slipstream 188. Note that the PQ white range is now 1-3000 to give some more granularity at the top end (PQ white range not yet linearized).

Re: Binaries Update Notification Thread
DGDecNV slipstream 188: * Added support for Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) to the Info dialog and to the HDR to SDR functionality. * Fixed an old bug in window positioning. If you open a large video (say 1920x1080) in DGIndexNV and then move it to the left until just the right edge is still showing, and the...

Re: Coded frame dimensions are too large
Need to bump up the internal frame buffer size. It will be in the next slipstream. Thank you for pointing it out.
If you could supply a small clip that would be excellent.

Re: HDR -> SDR conversion
Ah, good to hear. Thank you. You probably noticed most of the goodness for PQ is at the top end of the range for white and it is nonlinear. HLG in contrast works much better and feels linear. I'm going to try linearizing the PQ parameter range, it's a GUI issue and a functional one, because we are l...
