Please give OS details. Be aware that WinXP is not supported. It sounds like your WMI service is not functioning. You can try this process, but be sure to use the one in there for your specific OS.

As a last resort I can send you a license that will work with Machine ID 0, but I prefer to fix it properly if possible.

That's a WMI error for which I have been unable to find a solution. I have emailed you a key that should work with Machine ID 00000000.

Perhaps before using that you can make sure you have Admin privileges on the account.

I am having this same problem after upgrading my machine with an NVMe SSD drive. My old license does not work and my machine ID comes back as all zeros. I tried MBSerialNumber.exe and the results were:

The only thing I can think of is that you are running an older build of DGIndexNV. I have sent a DGIndexNV debug build that will at least eliminate that, and shed some light on what is happening.

Turns out user was using 2052 which is way before the zero machine ID problem was solved.
