Hey,

I used DGDemux to demux a BD, it was one big file that contained multiple episodes, so I used episode demux to get them individually. What I found was that the last episode that was demuxed was missing chapters. Now these chapters are present in the disk and I had 3 volumes to demux and it happened on all 3 of them. I then thought maybe it was an issue with this disk so I tried another and I got the same out come.

Just wanted to report so your aware and can potentially fix.

Episode demuxing works only when each episode is a single M2TS file. So it cannot be one big file. When you click on the MPLS in DGDemuxGUI, does it show a list of M2TS files, or just one? If it is a list with one episode per M2TS file, then can you please give me a link to purchase a disk that shows this issue?

Sorry for the late reply, here is a screenshot of the



As you can see its a JPN disk which a expensive, each volume was about $150 each. So purchasing maybe an issue, but as you can see it has 19 chapters. Playing the video using VLC to directly play the disk it has chapters, but when extracting using DGDemux episode demuxing, it only extracts 16 chapters.

Thank you for the information, Jimbo. I have duplicated the issue with a disk I have on hand. Investigating...

On a related note (hopefully close enough to justify this hijacking), if you select both "Skip last M2TS" and "Episode demuxing" at the same time (for example, if there is a tacked-on foreign credits or studio logo or something at the end of a multi-episode playlist), DGDemuxGUI ignores the "Skip last" and demuxes every M2TS including the last.

I haven't tried it with "Skip first" so I don't know if that behaves the same.

Guys, please test this:

It would be great if you could test normal full demux, full demux with -sf/-sl, and episode demuxing. Note that demuxing with -ep disables -sf/-sl. If you don't need the first and last sets, just delete them. When I make a release I will also revise DGDemuxGUI to turn off -sf/-sl when -ep is turned on. Guys, it just gets too darned complex to support both at the same time and too darned complex makes future maintenance harder. I like simple!

I have tested the 3 volumes that had issues and they are now working correctly, I am getting all of the chapters. I have asked my friend who also had issues to test as well who said that is also working correctly.
