Do 'DELAY' labeled files need to be manually added?

Post by DelBoy83 »

I've got an LPCM audio file which has -66ms in its filename. Will this automatically be added to mkvmerge or do I have to add it manually?

I dropped one onto mkvtoolnix and the delay was set automatically. I don't really know the difference between mkvtoolnix and mkvmerge, so try it and see. Better to ask Mosu over at doom9.

Normally when a file that has "DELAY -xxxxms" in the name is added to makemkv, the delay is automatically put into the audio delay field. At least that is what happens on my system.

OK I've just found out that if you go to preferences there's a box that needs to be checked which enables mkvtoolnix to automatically set the delay from the filename.
