Before you do that, realize that we purposely choose to show the "parasite" playlists. So don't bother posting anything about that.

I am interested only in cases where you say that no playlists are shown. Show me one example of that, giving all output, including the command and the following shell prompt, so I can see that eac3to_mod completed. Like this:

Show the "parasite" playlists with disabled "-showall" mode it's pointless because it's just distracting and unuseful because you can do nothing with those playlists, so guess should be a mode show playlists like in original eac3to and showall like now and 3rd showall without those trash playlists.

Weird you don't want to read PM but ok. There are few examples of some movies and some series where no show any playsists in case for eac3to mod 3.40 version and deleted "-showall" line in .ini file or deleted the .ini file:
"eac3to "DISK PATH" - then just empty, it shows nothing. So it's all commands and all output and it's very simple because after nothing.

For those disks the same result - just nothing, for eac3to origianal 3.36 all were fine.

I wrote the all lines as is. I repeat, after deleted "-showall" line in .ini file or deleted the .ini file eac3to_mod 3.40 shows nothing after usual line. Added screen.

With "-showall" enabled playlitst showing fine.

Thank you. I have discovered the problem. In your code block very short playlists are appearing first and they terminate the enumeration. I have to find out why they are not being sorted properly. I will need the disk. Check your PM.

Probably I will change things so that without -showall it works like 3.34/3.36 and with -showall it shows everything. I'll try to do that right now and maybe I won't need the disk if you can test it.

I tried "eac3to_mod_3.41_test" and confirm that for those disks I wrote before now it's fine and thanks that you returned default playlists shows as were in eac3to 3.34/3.36 without weird playlists that unuseful in usual usage but nice that you made "-showall" function because it could be usefull in some cases.

I think that would be more usefull use "-showall" as an extra command in command line after disk path or it can't be implemented like that? Then wouldn't be needed to correct .ini file and for usual usefull it would be disable and if needed just add command "-showall" in command line.

I read, that you shifted my feature request to "Will Not Be Addressed".
I understand your decision and I will stay with dgdemux linux.

BTW:
I found the Python code for the ssifsmap2ssif tool.
With some code modifications it runs fine, now.
I created a ssif-file from makemkv 3D backup
and copied the ssif-file in the corresponding backup folder.

Eac3to_mod_3.41 detected base and dependent stream and demuxed them, without issues.
Encoded video (half T&B) plays fine, without any glitches or artifacts.

Many thanks for pointing that out and many thanks for your great work, as well.

I noticed that eac3to shows one less chapter than DGDemux. Then I saw a post about that at d9. Adding to the bug list.

No, it's the opposite. DGDemux is the one adding a chapter at the end when it shouldn't. With Elemental for example, the menu shows 27 chapters. With eac3to_mod, there are indeed 27 chapters. But with DGDemux, there are 28.



Plus, DGDemux's last chapter doesn't make sense. For Elemental (and other movies actually), chapter 28 is 01:41:27.580 with DGDemux. The duration of the video is 1:41:27.830.

We had this discussion before. The MPLS shows a chapter at the end so we show it. We don't "add" anything. It's not for me to decide if it makes sense, or to delete it because it offends somebody.

I would vote for not adding the last chapter or in other words: please leave it as it is right now for eac3to. It seriously does not make sense to add chapter for the end of the movie. Just my two cents.

I truly understand your argument and I won't argue. I just wonder why all of those many different studios did not add the last chapter or chapter for the end of the movie/TV/document etc. in their menus of those countless DVDs/Blu-rays/UHD Blu-rays... I would like to know why madshi did not implement it too. What was the reason not to add it for him?
For me personally, it won't be a big deal if you'll change it though - I just remove it manually. Just many people who used eac3to through the years were used to eac3to act like this with chapters.
Please do not take this as a critisism. I appreciate all your work for my favourite demuxing tool.

eac3to 3.34 is able to change the framerate of a video, but not 3.41. If you want to change a 24 FPS video to 23.976 FPS for example.
