Problem demuxing subtitles

Post by HPotter »

Also another problem in example on the same this one disk I sent here (now sent you .sup files for check):

It's known problem with timing for .sup subs that you fixed here:
https://rationalqm.us/board/viewtopic.p ... 279#p19279
https://rationalqm.us/board/viewtopic.p ... 282#p19282

You fixed it for multiple joined .m2ts files with direct path but if we're going for the same files but with playlist demux - we got wrong timing.

Example:
Demux subs from playlist:
157) 00533.mpls, 1:24:32
[107+109+106+108+103+105+113+116+111+104+114+1+112+115+110+102].m2ts

eac3to "C:\DISK\BDMV\PLAYLIST\00533.mpls" 1) 6: 1.sup 7: 2.sup 8: 3.sup

we got wrong timing (look after 00:07:25 time) (in 3.36 it's correct timing as it's guess the same thing you fixed for multiple joined .m2ts files directly but not for playlists with numbers of .m2ts files)

and demux subs .m2ts files directly:
eac3to "C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00107.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00109.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00106.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00108.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00103.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00105.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00113.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00116.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00111.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00104.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00114.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00001.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00112.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00115.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00110.m2ts" 5: 1_NEW.sup 6: 2_NEW.sup 7: 3_NEW.sup

we got correct timing because you fixed this for multiple joined .m2ts

I'm not going to do anything with this until you do what I asked in your other thread. I don't have time to keep asking over and over. You must have enough experience to know what a full path is!

And get rid of all the \ characters, e.g.:

6: 1.sup

NOT

6: \1.sup

If you want my help you must follow my directions. I ask for things to assist my troubleshooting, not to hassle you.

I wrote all what you wrote few times. All commands for both cases.
Deleted "\" from previous post and changed direct path.

I told you I'm not doing anything until you do what we ask in the other thread.

Are you trying to piss me off? You're doing a pretty good job. I'm not going to ask for things over and over anymore.

I renamed the name of disk to DISK for easy short path, here the problem that you already fixed for multiple joined .m2ts files wrong timing for .sup subs but not for playlists.

Command with full logs (.sup subs provided earlier here:
https://easyupload.io/jr5lyh
Pass: "Curly"):

Subs from playlist that contain next files
157) 00533.mpls, 1:24:32
[107+109+106+108+103+105+113+116+111+104+114+1+112+115+110+102].m2ts

1. Playlist

Code: Select all

C:\Users\HPotter>eac3to "C:\DISK\BDMV\PLAYLIST\00533.mpls" 1) 6: C:\DISK\1.sup 7: C:\DISK\2.sup 8: C:\DISK\3.sup
Running in fast mode
Keeping dialnorm
analyze: 100%
M2TS, 1 video track, 3 audio tracks, 3 subtitle tracks, 1:24:31, 24p
1: Chapters, 12 chapters
2: h264/AVC, 1080p24 (16:9)
3: DTS Master Audio, Finnish, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 48kHz, dialnorm: 0dB
   (core: DTS, 5.1 channels, 1509kbps, 48kHz, dialnorm: 0dB)
4: AC3, Finnish, 5.1 channels, 448kbps, 48kHz, dialnorm: -27dB
5: AC3, Finnish, 2.0 channels, 192kbps, 48kHz, dialnorm: -27dB
6: Subtitle (PGS), Finnish
7: Subtitle (PGS), Swedish
8: Subtitle (PGS), Finnish
s06 Extracting subtitle track number 6...
s07 Extracting subtitle track number 7...
s08 Extracting subtitle track number 8...
s06 Creating file "C:\DISK\1.sup"...
s07 Creating file "C:\DISK\2.sup"...
process: 100%
s08 Creating file "C:\DISK\3.sup"...
Video track 2 contains 121724 frames.
Subtitle track 6 contains 724 captions.
Subtitle track 7 contains 728 captions.
Subtitle track 8 contains 44 captions.
eac3to processing took 1 minute, 3 seconds.
Done.
Here the wrong timing going after first .m2ts file in playlist after 00:07:25 time - 80 line (in 3.36 as I wrote before timing correct).

2. Another way: direct .m2ts files with correct timing

Code: Select all

C:\Users\HPotter>eac3to "C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00107.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00109.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00106.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00108.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00103.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00105.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00113.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00116.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00111.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00104.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00114.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00001.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00112.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00115.m2ts"+"C:\DISK\BDMV\STREAM\00110.m2ts" 5: C:\DISK\1_NEW.sup 6: C:\DISK\2_NEW.sup 7: C:\DISK\3_NEW.sup
Running in fast mode
Keeping dialnorm
analyze: 100%

I have duplicated this. DGDemux does it correctly and because DGDemux and eac3to are using the same algorithm it should be fairly straightforward to find out why the results are different. Investigating...

Thx, now timing correct both ways: for multiple .m2ts files from playlist and from .m2ts files directly.

Moderator note:

@HPotter

1. Always create a new thread for new issues. I've split yours out to a new thread but it is difficult to do in phpBB. Next time we will simply delete the new issue from the existing thread, as you have been warned.

2. Do not do full quotes from a post immediately above yours. It just clutters things up.

Thank you for your understanding and for your outstanding contributions. :salute:

It was issue directly connected with previous, I think it part of it, but if it needed that way ok.

We want them separate so we can have the resolved mark for each. If they are all together and you keep adding new issues we have no way to mark things resolved.
