Policy on issue abandonment without notice

Post by admin »

We have instituted a new policy. If you come here and raise an issue and we actively engage with you on that issue, and you then simply disappear with no further response to our suggestions/questions/test versions, etc., we will consider that to be ghosting/abandonment. This is especially frustrating when we have invested significant time into your issue. Therefore, we will now apply a sanction. If we conclude that you have ghosted us, your account will be deactivated. You will be unable to log on to your account. You can contact the admin with a suitable explanation and request reinstatement. We will consider no response after one week to be ghosting. We are able to see activity at other sites to conclude that you haven't died, etc., and we will send a notice via email that the sanction is about to kick in. If you want to discontinue an issue, just say so in the thread, so that we don't continue investing time into it and/or chasing you for a response. It's common courtesy! Thank you for your understanding.
