Are you going to support this in DGIndexNV, or are you going to hold off for a while to see how it works?
Just asking so I can decide which version to install on new computer

Theoretically, according to Myrsloik, API3 filters should run fine under API4 Vapoursynth. So, reasons to move to API4 would be 1) to add features to the filter that are made possible by API4, or 2) because performance of API3 filters is compromised. We will wait for feedback on these things before making a decision. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated in that regard.

I'm also an APIv4 early adopter, will report if spot any weird stuff.

When I have the new system set up (shortly) I will test DGIndexNV

Sweet, thank you, gonca.

Don't be shy, tell us about the new system. I know you were hoarding a mobo for a while. Spill the acorns!

12900K + z690 mobo + 4080 Ti

Threadripper 3970x + EVGA FTW3 3080 + ASUS ROG STRIX TRX40 xe mobo
That is 32 cores/64 threads at 3.7 GHz stock
Throw in 64 Gig of 3600MHz ram and 2 x 6 Gigabyte WD reds for mass storage, and 7 pci-e gen 4 nvme drives.
Samsung pros, 250 G for OS, 3 x 500 GB + 2x 1 TB + 1 x 2 TB for "working/scratch/temp" drives

Whah? Your mobo has slots for that many? I thought it only had 3 M.2 slots, but I'm just a kid.

This gave me 4 more
All those gen 4 pci-e slots came in handy
I might have to time the demuxing of DGIndexNV when it is all set up

Just had to change setting in BIOS for slot, from PCI-E gen 4 x16 to PCI-E gen 4 (x4x4x4x4)
They also have a gen 3 version, just have to make sure the motherboard is compatible

Would have been wasteful to not use as many lanes as possible, cheaper but wasteful

Unless one prefers to keep those lanes for the GPU.

That setting is on slot by slot basis
Meaning I have full pci-e gen4 for the GPU (x16)
Same for the second slot (not used)
And only the third slot (the one with the add on card) is x4x4x4x4
I had enough gen 4 pci-e lanes to do all of this

Seems to be working fine with api4
O a further note
UHD index job on an elementary stream was about 500 MB/s
So I did 4 concurrent index jobs on UHDs
dgindexnv.png
This works out to 1855.7 MB/s

Great, thank you for your testing, gonca.
