Indexer for other formats

Post by Soulvomit »

Hello. Would you consider making an indexer for formats found in AVI, FLV, MP4, MOV, WebM and WMV? Currently AviSynth along with ffdshow don't always frameserve accurately to VirtualDub. Sometimes frames are missing or repeated, depending on the video's encoding job, D-frames, or something else, making it difficult to edit and transcode properly.

This has been a problem for me with AVC until coming across DGAVCDec, which is why I propose this kind of indexer.

Thank you for your work.

That's a tall order! Right now I'm happy to be able to handle BluRays and many broadcast streams. For those other formats you can always demux the containers and then use DGDec on the elementary streams.
