admin, please tell us about the backup strategy/process for our website and forum.

Sure, DG, no problem.

Things are backed up in two steps:

1. tar.gz the entire account through the cpanel. Download the tar.gz to an HDD on my PC.
2. Export the SQL database through the phpbb Administration Control Panel and download the result tar.gz to the HDD on my PC.

There are three HDDs that I rotate through, so we always have 3 generations backed up. I do it once a week.

That's perfect. Thank you for all you do.

Don't worry, Sherman won't be replacing you.
