BlindPP with HBD?

Post by real.finder »

Hi,
I did updated many old avs scripts to work with Native avs+ HBD (most of them here), and from the scripts/functions I plan to update are FunkyDeBlock and SoftSharpen, both use BlindPP

since BlindPP used and still part of DGMPGDec, can we have some modernization for BlindPP? and it will be better if it moved to be standalone plugin

thanks

Guys, let's give a warm welcome to real.finder! We all know his excellent work for the video community. Bullwinkle has granted immediate Moose Approved status.

Yes, I fully agree about modernizing it and making a stand-alone filter. I would like to have 32-bit and 64-bit support, HBD support, and CUDA support (in addition to normal CPU support). What would you be looking for first for FunkyDeBlock and SoftSharpen?

You can assign a personal avatar if you don't want to remain faceless. ;)

Go for it, Sherman!

To change user ranks, you have to be a moderator. And creating new ranks needs administrator status.

Curly has influence at the highest levels. Besides, Britney seems to like him a lot. What can I do?

IIRC there were x64 build already by JoshyD (DGDecode_3-19-2010.rar) so it's HBD and CPU (I don't have nVidia GPU)

it was here https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=152800 there are no source code for it IIRC (it made using Intel's compiler)

also it has problems like giving green frames in MPEG2Source() and that why MPEG2DecPlus been made

OK, so it is useless. And MPEG2DecPlus does not include BlindPP(). So we'll have to do it all from scratch.

I won't do anything on BlindPP unless a very convincing case is made, and that is not the case after some discussion here and in the linked thread. Don't hate me! Squirrels don't live that long.
