Feature Requests
Re: Feature Requests
It's up to nVidia, but it seems unlikely.
Re: Feature Requests
Could anyone actually using ThinVNC (latest version 3) give me some hints whether it works reliably? What do you think about ThinRDP Workstation, wouldn't that be more suitable for the task when one needs to manage desktop encoding apps utilizing DGDecNV on the remote PC?Guest 2 wrote:Logmein (free), Remotely Anywhere (paid), ThinVNC (free, very interesting product, HTML5 based).neuron2 wrote:As I said there are other remote access methods that do not disable the video driver. I forget which one people were recommending.
Uh, I almost forgot: up RDP (as feature suggestion)
TIA for your replies.

Have you been following this discussion?
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p ... ost1492474
It's possible to use the best deinterlacers with CUVID, even double adaptive!
It would be a nice addition to DGDecNV.
OMG, yesgrey, I just noticed this post for the first time while looking over this thread for some things I could do for 2043! I will certainly add the capability to select the DXVA mode. I did some initial tests and it seems to work. It requires D3D mode to be enabled also, however.
Re: Feature Requests
admin! I finally get a hold of you, I have a problem with my doom9 account I need the administrators to change my registered email for a newone so I caN reset the password, I can't access that account since 4 years ago I forgot my nickname too I know you're an admin there so you could help with this! I need help.neuron2 wrote:So you want it overlaid on the video? That is easy.
But you said displayed "inside the script". What the heck does that mean? Do you need to just see the frame type overlaid on the video or do you need to access it as a variable in the script?
Re: Feature Requests
There's little I can do if you don't remember your user handle. Consider just making a new registration. Please follow up in PM or email, as it's way off topic in here.
Re: Feature Requests
how do I send you a pm in here? or email.neuron2 wrote:There's little I can do if you don't remember your user handle. Consider just making a new registration. Please follow up in PM or email, as it's way off topic in here.

Re: Feature Requests
Hi there,
Here's a really simple request to make life easier for people like me who use many different avs templates (for different resolutions etc.).
Would it be possible to show the current template name somewhere on the main interface? For example in the window caption or to the right of the menu bar or the nav controls?
What would be really cool would be a drop-down list of all the .avs templates in the default folder allowing us to select "on the fly".
Happy Easter to you Donald and all you faithful clients!

Re: Feature Requests
I have wanted this for a while too. I will bump it to high priority. I need to make a new release soon in any case.
Re: Feature Requests
Yay!I will bump it to high priority.
Re: Feature Requests
OK, clumpco, when I say "high priority" I mean it!
Here is a test release of 2045 including your feature. Just for fun I give no documentation. I want to see if it is intuitively obvious.
Just update your executables with the executables in here:
http://rationalqm.us/misc/TestAVS.zip
If it is working fine for you I will make a release.

clumpco, where did you go?
OK, I am going to release it as is.

Re: Feature Requests
Right now when I Demux the video I get a <sourcefile>.demuxed.264 file.
Would it be possible to get <sourcefile>.264 ?
Would it be possible to get <sourcefile>.264 ?
Re: Feature Requests
Can't always do that, in order to prevent overwrite if an ES file is loaded. I could prevent demuxing from an ES but that would preclude doing cuts of ES files.
So what I will do is include the 'demuxed' only if the source file is an ES.

Help remind me what is an ES file..?neuron2 wrote:Can't always do that, in order to prevent overwrite if an ES file is loaded. I could prevent demuxing from an ES but that would preclude doing cuts of ES files.

And just wondering any idea when you have it implemented? Looking forward to it
Re: Feature Requests
An Elementary Stream? No audio...fabje wrote:Help remind me what is an ES file..?
Re: Feature Requests
As laserfan suggests, an ES file contains a single audio or video stream. For example, "movie.264" is a video ES file. An audio-only file is also an ES file, for example "movie.ac3". ES's get combined into containers like TS, PS, MKV, etc.fabje wrote: Help remind me what is an ES file..?
I released 2045 with this just now.And just wondering any idea when you have it implemented? Looking forward to it

Thanks you

Marvellous, yes intuitive enough for me!neuron2 wrote:clumpco, where did you go?

Sorry, I got distracted by real life.
Re: Feature Requests
In the latest iteration Lav Filters 0.57 added:
LAV Video
- Enabled Hardware/GPU Deinterlacing when using the QuickSync decoder
As DGAVCDecDI is IMHO an almost dead project, do you think to interact with the author of Lav Filters to create something that doesn't require a NVidia video card to use your software?

Re: Feature Requests
I may support QuickSync at some point, but such an effort cannot start for at least several months.

/ˈsev(ə)rəl/
Adjective
More than two but not many: "the author of several books"; "Van Gogh was just one of several artists who gathered at Auvers".
Separate or respective: "their several responsibilities".
So, maybe in 2013?
Re: Feature Requests
He he. The important qualifier that you apparently missed was "at least".
But your apparent regard for my hero Vincent compels me to try to elaborate helpfully for you.
I have to give a talk on foundations of QM at a SPIE conference in August and then I am visiting the UK in September. Maybe something could happen in the last quarter of 2013.

Re: Feature Requests
Sounds more than reasonable, just got my 4770k so eager to being able to utilize the built-in GPU for offloading the CPU, currently only have a Nvidia card with the VP2, so speed is mediocre with resolutions above 1280x720...
