[RESOLVED] BSOD with build 110
[RESOLVED] BSOD with build 110
Hello,
I use without any isuue build 108. Today I decided to try new build 110 and each time if I try close DGDecNV build 110, it crash my computer and show BSOD. It makes only if I am closing it. Open and seekeing the video works fine. So I have to stay with working build 108
I use DGDecNV on laptop with GeForce GTX 850M.

Re: BSOD with build 110
What OS do you have?
Did you delete your INI file before running DGIndexNV as instructed?
What nVidia driver version?

Re: BSOD with build 110
Windows 7 Pro x64
I have used only your pure build 110. So there is no ini file
I am using little outdated drivers for GPU, because newer dont work well with my GPU. I faced this issue with newer drivers:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topi ... d-or-unpl/
Currently latest drivers I can use are 21.21.13.7892 (16.03.2017), works very well with DGDecNV build 108.
Thanks for interest

"I have used only your pure build 110. So there is no ini file"
You lost me on that. There is an INI file in the 110 zip file. Put that one in your directory and try again and please clarify what you meant. Meanwhile I will double check the code changes for 110.
I'll make a debug build if needed.

Re: BSOD with build 110
Hm, sorry, You are right. Deleting default ini file helped.
It is little non-sense to include bad ini file in oficial appliacation package You should remove it.
You can mark this solved. Thank you

Re: BSOD with build 110
Ah, well, I was not aware it was bad. Thanks for reporting it. I'll resolve it one way or another.
Re: BSOD with build 110
Hmm, I don't see anything wrong with the shipped INI file and when I used it I did not get a crash. Nevertheless, I will remove it as I never used to ship one.
Re: BSOD with build 110
Do you see any relevant differences in the shipped INI and the one that now works?
I'm thinking it's a red herring and it crashed for another reason. In the entire history of DGIndexNV I have never seen or heard of a BSOD.

Re: BSOD with build 110
I also didnt see BSOD before with any version of DGDecNV.
shipped ini:
Version=DGIndexNV 2053.0.0.109
Window_Position=100,100
newly created ini:
Version=DGIndexNV 2053.0.0.110
Window_Position=614,88
shipped ini:

Window_Position=100,100
newly created ini:

Re: BSOD with build 110
That looks irrelevant. If you change your INI back to 100, 100 does it start crashing again on closure?
Re: BSOD with build 110
No, it had to be something other. Now it works with both old and new ini. Sorry for your time.
Re: BSOD with build 110
No problem, AJR, all avenues should be explored. I'll mark this resolved but feel free to post again if anything is pointing to DG tools.
